Mole & Badger Pub & Shokudo is proud to welcome a new, casual Japanese dining concept by three-time Michelin star chef, Garry Hollihead, following its successful launch at its sister restaurant and hotel Wild Heart Bar & Shokudo, Sanctum Soho.

Located in the beautiful village of Cookham Dean in Berkshire, Mole & Badger Pub & Shokudo is a 17th century coach house converted into a destination gastropub. Loved by locals and guests for its expansive al fresco garden dining in the summer months, and cosy fireplaces to curl up in the winter, Sanctum on the Green is the perfect home away from home in the rural British countryside, approximately an hour from bustling London.

The menu offers a variety of casual pub dishes and sharing plates, perfect for a light bite or a relaxed dinner, alongside a hearty wine list and cocktail menu featuring locally sourced gin.

From sliders to seared miso marinated sirloin, the menu has been designed with a Japanese-twist to offer a unique take on a pub menu. A “shokudo” in Japan is a casual restaurant that serves a variety of relaxed Japanese dishes and where the locals eat. Mole & Badger Pub & Shokudo is perfect for locals and guests alike to enjoy a quick bite after work or gathering with friends and family. Signature dishes include seared miso marinated sirloin, wagyu beef sliders, and roasted aubergine.

We are open all year with expansive al fresco garden dining in the summer months, and cosy fireplaces to curl up in the winter.
